All Apple devices now run on iOS 10.3. Swiss Tomato, a mobile and web developer, presents the new features of this release.
One of the first features of iOS 10.3 concerns user rates and reviews. Before this update, when using an app, the app asked users if they agreed to rate or comment the app; if they were, they were redirected to the App Store to carry out their task. Now, users are no longer redirected to the App Store: they can leave their comments without leaving the application, by simply using it. It is up to the developer to decide the best time to ask for a review in order to avoid disturbing the user in his experience.
With iOS 10.3, app makers can communicate directly with users on the App Store. Indeed, it is now possible for developers to respond to comments left by users. Even better: this discussion is visible to other interested parties so that they can find a direct answer to their question.
With the update, do not be afraid to lose your precious AirPods. The “Locate my iPhone” feature is also available for AirPods. Their location is displayed on a map. If you have lost your AirPods at home, there is another alternative: to make your headphones ring.
With the iOS 10.3 update, Siri is dedicated to you, especially regarding some commercial transport applications. For example, you can now order an Uber by interacting with Siri without opening the application. What a gain of time ! Also, in line with some car manufacturer applications, you can check the fuel level of your car, control the horn, check if your doors are properly locked. The connection between your iPhone and the connected objects that share your daily life is enhanced.
