Sandmark
The client
Sandmark is a media platform dedicated to financial and crypto information, designed to deliver content that is clear, reliable, and accessible to a broad audience. Its mission is to build a credible, fast, and scalable editorial experience by equipping the newsroom to publish high-quality articles at speed.
The Challenge
Sandmark set out to become a trusted destination for finance and crypto insights in a crowded, fast-moving market. The brief was to build a platform that feels serious and approachable, scales to daily publishing, and converts attention into community growth.
The Solution
As a Geneva-based digital team, we worked with Sandmark from strategy to launch: positioning, information architecture, UX/UI design, and a modern, performance-first build.
We built Sandmark around its editorial mission, “Serious about crypto.” The aim was clear: a platform that looks premium, earns trust, and keeps readers in flow every day.
Premium, lightweight design
We chose a refined palette, a precise type scale, and a disciplined grid to give the site a polished editorial feel without showmanship. Images and motion appear only when they help the story. No heavy effects, no decorative clutter. The interface stays clean and quick so the focus remains on the news.
Reading experience and trust, in balance
Pages feel calm and contextual. Clear hierarchy guides the eye, and gentle wayfinding points to what matters next. The layout adapts smoothly on mobile and desktop, with stable headers and predictable interactions. Credibility is built into the page: authorship, sources, timestamps and update notes, plain disclaimers, and transparent sponsorship appear exactly where readers expect them. Accessibility patterns and privacy-respectful analytics are standard, so confidence grows without breaking the reading flow.
Data-rich storytelling
The homepage and articles support chart and data widgets that add context when it counts. Sandmark’s data lead prepares the charts; editors then place them directly in the story using reusable components with consistent styling and clear source annotations. The widgets are tuned to stay lightweight and cache-friendly, so deeper analysis lands cleanly without slowing the experience.
Technical depth (what makes it complex)
Component-based architecture : A reusable library of UI components and CMS blocks drives briefs, analyses and features from a single source of truth. It is headless-ready, so content can later feed email, apps or other surfaces without rework.
SEO foundations that compound : Clean URL structures, disciplined metadata and schema.org markup for Article/NewsArticle sit on top of a performance-first build. Internal linking via hubs and “read next” paths strengthens discovery while preserving reading flow.
Advanced marketing and CRM integration : Events and content taxonomy map to analytics and marketing tools, enabling segment-level newsletter capture, consent-aware tracking, UTM hygiene and automated CRM sync for leads and partners. This turns editorial momentum into measurable relationships.
Performance, reliability and delivery : Smart rendering (critical CSS, code-splitting, responsive images), layered caching and CDN rules keep the experience fast during spikes. Real-user monitoring and error tracking close the loop, while a staging-to-production pipeline with visual checks lets us release improvements safely without interrupting the newsroom.
Results
The result is a high-performing media platform that showcases Sandmark’s voice and momentum. Readers find content more easily and stay longer; editors publish with fewer steps and greater consistency; and the brand presents clear credibility signals across the site.
Early traction has translated into steady audience growth, stronger newsletter acquisition, and greater interest from partners—giving Sandmark a robust base for ongoing monetisation tests and future features.
The project underlines the value of combining clear strategy, thoughtful UX, and rigorous execution to build trust in a complex category.
