Indeed, the ARKit uses the device camera, a scene processing to scan images and objects in the real environment. The ARKit also combines a device motion tracking <strong>to facilitate the 3D creation<\/strong> for app developers.<br \/>\nMobile app developers can create AR experiences using the<strong> back camera<\/strong>, but also <strong>the front camera<\/strong> of <strong>any iOS 11 device<\/strong>. It is very simple, you just need to open an AR app which you want to play. The app will create an <strong>ARWorldMap<\/strong>. When the ARWorldMap is ready, the second user opens the app and you just need <strong>to share the ARWorldMap with him<\/strong>. You can now share the same game area and try <strong>to win together<\/strong>.<br \/>\nThe ARKit 2 will use a new AR object file format called <strong>USDZ<\/strong>. This new file format has been created by <strong>Apple and Pixar<\/strong>. The file contains the <strong>3D model<\/strong> and <strong>its textures<\/strong> : lights, animation\u2026 The file is <strong>really light<\/strong> to allow to share easily AR object file. Indeed, the USDZ files can be shared by <strong>iMessage, Mail or Safari<\/strong>. The new file format will be supported by <strong>Adobe software<\/strong> to allow compatibilities with other programs like <strong>Photoshop<\/strong>.<br \/>\nApple also announced the creation of a new app thanks to ARKit 2 : <strong>Measure<\/strong>. This app allows you<strong> to measure any type of object<\/strong> in your <strong>real environment<\/strong>. You just need to use the camera of your smartphone, to point an object and to draw a line on the object to have its measure.
